The three replicas of the analyzed wave front are generated by a device consisting of a separating cube and an optical flat. It is described in Fig. 5. The parallel beam crosses the cube and is divided into two parts. The first part, V1, is directed at one of the optical sides of the cube, M1, and the second, V2, at the other optical side, M2, and at the optical flat, M3. Since vitreous reflections are used, the three beams reflected by M1, M2, and M3 are of approximately the same amplitude, and multireflected beams are negligible. One can tilt one of the useful sides of the cube, M1, for example, with respect to the other sides by repolishing; On the other hand, the optical flat is tilt adjustable by a mechanical mount. After their reflection, the three relatively tilted replicas are recombined by means of the cube and directed along the z axis.
