In April 2011, the BRIC has officially become the BRICS when leaders of the BRIC countries unanimously admitted more South Africa. With this decision, the BRICS becoming one of the most significant organization in the world. With only five member countries, BRICS does make up 43% of the total world population, holding 20% of the world's GDP and 50% of the gold and currency reserves of the world, and accounts for 15% of total value of global trade. In recent years, trade between the Member States Group constantly rising, with the average growth rates of up to 28% in the period 2001-2010.
