Leadership style is the method and the approach of a leader to set the direction, implementation plans, and motivate employees. Under an employee's perspective, that style is often expressed through action or explicit or implied from their leaders (Newstrom, Davis, 1993).
In 1939, the important research on the style how to lead for the first time conducted by Kurt Lewin, who heads a group of researchers of different leadership styles (Lewin, Lippit, White, 1939). So far, this initial study has far-reaching influence because it has made three key leadership style (US Army, 1973):
• authority or exclusive rights - The leaders of Reference and always pointed out to his staff how to do the job without having to listen to suggestions from employees.
• contribute or democracy - Board of directors consists of one or more employees will perform decision-making, but the leaders will often be the final decision.
• self Empowerment leadership TCB allows employees to make decisions, however, they are still responsible for the end together.
With talented leaders, they build for themselves a dominant style, but still use the remaining styles in a flexible manner. Conversely, weak leadership capacity only tend to stick with a single style, and style is often powerful leaders.
