Tại cuộc họp báo, ông Paul Cleves, đại diện BBGV cho biết, khoản tiền gây quỹ trong những năm qua đã được BBGV thực hiện những dự án từ thiện như: Dự án phẫu thuật nụ cười cho 28 trẻ em hở môi và hở hàm ếch từ các gia đình và cộng đồng khó khăn tai các tỉnh phía Nam; dự án hỗ trợ điều trị bệnh cho khoảng 20 em có hoàn cảnh khó khăn . Bên cạnh đó là Dự án xây dựng cầu Phượng Hoàng (Mỹ Lợi B) ở tỉnh Tiền Giang do tổ chức từ thiện Nam Phương thực hiện. BBGV cũng tài trợ 560 đầu sách cho thư viện tại Trung tâm điều trị bệnh phong Bến Sắn – Bình Dương. Xây dựng “phòng đọc vui vẻ” tại thư viện Trường THCS Chân Điền (huyện Cầu Kè, tỉnh Trà Vinh). Tài trợ 80 suất học bổng dành cho học sinh có hoàn cảnh khó khăn ở Kon Tum và TP.HCM và cuối cùng là tài trợ học bổng đại học và cao đẳng cho 12 sinh viên nghèo vượt khó.
