trạng thái thoải mái về thể chất, tinh thần và xã hội của người đó”. Theo định nghĩa này, sức
khỏe không chỉ được hiểu trong một giới hạn là không bệnh tật trong cơ thể mà còn là
trạng thái thoải mái về tinh thần, lành mạnh trong đời sống xã hội. Nói một cách khác, sức khoẻ cộng đồng là biểu hiện tổng hợp bởi các yếu tố tự nhiên và điều
kiện sống ở mỗi quốc gia (về lao động, mức sống, vệ sinh môi trường, văn hoá, giáo dục, y
tế…). Theo đó, các quốc gia đều cho rằng sức khoẻ cộng đồng là một trong những yếu tố quan trọng ánh phản ánh trình độ phát triển kinh tế – xã hội của đất nước và phản ánh rõ
về chất lượng đời sống của cư dân.
