So với kết quả khảo sát đầu năm học 2014 – 2015 thì kết quả của cuối học kỳ I số học sinh trên trung bình tăng đồng nghĩa với việc số học sinh yếu cũng giảm. Mặc dù tỉ lệ học sinh trên trung bình tăng không cao lắm nhưng đây cũng là một kết quả đáng khích lệ sau một thời gian ngắn tôi vận dụng một số thủ thuật vào trong các tiết dạy bài đọc hiểu. Với kết quả trên thì chất lượng bộ môn cuối năm đã phần nào được nâng cao hơn. Kết quả học tập của các em đạt được cuối năm cũng tốt hơn và tỉ lệ học sinh được xét tốt nghiệp lớp 9 cũng rất cao.
