Tại Hội nghị, Đoàn Việt Nam ngoài việc trao đổi, chia sẻ kinh nghiệm về hợp tác công – tư trong phát triển nông thôn, nông nghiệp và xóa đói, giảm nghèo, cũng đã chia sẻ kinh nghiệm mới đang được triển khai tại Việt Nam. Đó là cách tiếp cận mới về chuẩn nghèo. Theo đó, chuẩn nghèo được đánh giá không chỉ từ mức độ thu nhập mà còn gồm nhiều yếu tố khác như sự tiếp cận về dịch vụ y tế, giáo dục, sử dụng nước sạch… của người dân.
