1. Bộ ngoại giao sẽ đảm nhiệm các công việc chính sau

-Đầu mối liên lạc và gửi thư mời cho các quốc gia thành viên, cập nhật trao đổi cho ban tổ chức thông tin danh sách các đoàn tham dự.
-Hỗ trợ công tác lãnh sự cho các đoàn khách quốc tế
-Kết nối với các thành phố thành viên thống nhất chủ đề phiên họp: thu thập các tham luận, báo cá của các thành viên.
-Chủ trì xây dựng nội dung và văn kiện hội nghị giúp Ủy Ban Nhân Dân thành phố Huế điều hành phiên họp chính thức.
-Dự thảo quy chế hoạt động của Mạng lưới các thành phố văn hóa của diễn đàn hợp tác Đông Á - Mĩ La Tinh để hội nghị xem xét.
-Cử đại diện tham dự đoàn chủ tịch và ban thư kí phiên họp, chuẩn bị nội dung kết luận tại phiên họp; nội dung tuyên bố hoặc nghị quyết của phiên họp.
-Chuẩn bị nội dung để tuyên truyền báo chí
-Báo cáo sau phiên họp, đệ trình ban thư kí FEALAC.
-Hỗ trợ phiên dịch tiếng Tây Ban Nha, tiếng Anh.
