Năm 1995, bệnh viện triển khai thàn

Năm 1995, bệnh viện triển khai thành công ca ghép tủy xương đầu tiên tại Việt Nam, đặt nền móng cho phương pháp điều trị mới các bệnh lý huyết học tại nước ta. Năm 1996 thực hiện ca ghép tế bào gốc máu ngoại vi đầu tiên tại Việt Nam.Năm 2002 thực hiện ca ghép tế bào gốc máu cuống rốn đầu tiên tại Việt Nam.Năm 2013, bệnh viện TMHH đã lần đầu tiên thực hiện kỹ thuật ghép nửa thuận hợp HLA (hay còn gọi là ghép Haplo) đầu tiên tại Việt Nam. Năm 2015, bệnh viện phối hợp với bệnh viện Nhi Đồng 2 thực hiện ca ghép tế bào gốc trên bệnh nhân bị u nguyên bào thần kinh là một trong hai trường hợp đầu tiên tại Việt Nam. Cho đến nay, bệnh viện TMHH đã thực hiện ghép cho 200 bệnh nhân, kết quả thu được rất khả quan, tỷ lệ sống không biến cố 20 năm là 45%, tỷ lệ sống còn 20 năm là 50%. Kết quả này tương đương với các nước trong khu vực và thế giới.
