Yêu nước không phải là lên mạng để tranh cãi xem ai là "anh hùng bàn phím" còn ai là anh hùng thật sự, mà yêu nước là trân trọng những cách thể hiện tình yêu nước (có thể mỗi người mỗi khác) và khuyến khích người Việt đoàn kết lại thay vì cố vặn vẹo, chỉ trích nhau. Mỗi người có một cách yêu nước riêng của họ. Điều quan trọng là họ cũng yêu nước như bạn bởi vì họ cũng là người Việt Nam.
Yêu nước không hẳn là cứ nhất định phải cầm súng để bắn vào một ai đó, vì nếu không được huấn luyện kỹ, cầm súng lên chưa chắc chúng ta đã kịp bắn ai, mà yêu nước là sáng suốt lựa chọn vị trí nào mình có giá trị nhất đối với đất nước. Nếu bạn nghĩ mình là một chiến sĩ can đảm, hãy tòng quân và cầm súng. Nếu bạn nghĩ mình có thể đóng góp về kinh tế, hãy xây dựng kinh tế. Mỗi mặt trận muốn thắng đều cần những "chiến sĩ" giỏi nhất. Chiến thắng thật sự và lâu dài đến từ sự kết hợp nhiều mặt trận chứ không chỉ riêng gì chiến trường.
Yêu nước không phải là thích thì mở miệng ra chửi đồng bào mình là ngu, là hèn, là chỉ biết nói... yêu nước là giúp cho đồng bào mình hiểu thế nào mới thật sự là khôn ngoan, là dũng cảm, là hành động đúng đắn. Mỗi người chúng ta đều hiểu biết giới hạn, hãy khiêm tốn học hỏi lẫn nhau và kiên nhẫn chỉ bảo nhau. Nếu bạn muốn chửi ai đó, có lẽ nên chửi những kẻ đang muốn cướp nước mình.
Yêu nước không phải là đợi đến lúc đất nước có chiến tranh thì mới yêu, mà yêu nước là chiến đấu trước hết với bản thân mình trong thời bình để hiểu biết hơn, thành công hơn, hạnh phúc hơn, để xã hội tốt đẹp hơn, để đất nước giàu mạnh hơn.
Yêu nước không phải là đòi chiến tranh để cho thằng nào đó biết mặt người Việt không sợ chết, mà yêu nước là cố gắng góp phần làm cho đất nước đủ mạnh để chiến tranh không bao giờ có thể xảy ra trên quê hương mình. Để đến khi không còn lựa chọn nào khác buộc phải có chiến tranh, kẻ thù sẽ biết thế nào là sức mạnh của một dân tộc yêu hòa bình.
Yêu nước không phải là hỏi người khác: "Bạn đã làm được gì cho đất nước?", mà yêu nước là tự hỏi chính mình: "Tôi đã làm được gì cho đất nước?". Đó là điều tôi luôn tự hỏi mình và cảm thấy mình vẫn chưa làm được gì nhiều cho đất nước. Chính vì thế, tôi phải cố gắng hơn mỗi ngày, ngay từ ngày hôm nay, ngay từ những việc nhỏ xung quanh mình.
Yêu nước không phải là một tấm huân chương để trao cho người này hay tước của người khác, mà yêu nước là từng việc nhỏ bạn làm vì mình, vì người trong thời bình hay trong thời chiến, nghĩa là từng việc nhỏ bạn làm bắt đầu ngay từ hôm nay cho dù bạn là học sinh, sinh viên, kỹ sư, bác sĩ, chuyên viên, quản lý, thương nhân, doanh nhân, công nhân, nông dân, chiến sĩ,... bởi vì là ai đi nữa thì bạn cũng là NGƯỜI VIỆT NAM.
