IV. ĐỊNH HƯỚNG PHÁT TRIỂN THEO CÁC LĨNH VỰC
1. Định hướng phát triển thủy điện:
- Phát triển nguồn thủy điện truyền thống góp phần vào phát triển kinh tế, xã hội của các địa phương; cung cấp nguồn điện tại chỗ, nâng cao an toàn cung cấp điện.
- Phát triển phù hợp với quy hoạch phát triển nguồn thủy điện vừa và nhỏ của các địa phương, trên cơ sở đánh giá đầy đủ các tác động đến môi trường.
- Các dự án thủy điện nhỏ nối lưới thực hiện theo biểu giá chi phí tránh được.
- Điện năng sản xuất từ nguồn thủy điện tăng từ khoảng 56 tỷ kWh năm 2015 lên gần 90 tỷ kWh vào năm 2020; khoảng 96 tỷ kWh từ năm 2030.
- Phát triển nguồn thủy điện tích năng nhằm thực hiện nhiệm vụ dự trữ, điều chỉnh nhu cầu trong hệ thống điện, góp phần nâng cao độ linh hoạt, hiệu quả trong vận hành hệ thống điện. Công suất nguồn thủy điện tích năng đến năm 2030 đạt khoảng 2.400 MW, năm 2050 đạt khoảng 8.000 MW.
