Tóm tắt: Khai thác khoáng sản có những tác động rất đặc thù đối với môi trường, có thể phá vỡ cấu trúc địa chất và cảnh quan, tạo ra các bãi thải hoặc hồ chứa thải với diện tích lớn. Các tác động môi trường của hoạt động này vẫn tiếp diễn khi kết thúc khai thác do sạt lở bãi thải, sụt lún lòng đất mang theo các chất ô nhiễm ra môi trường. Trong đó, cộng đồng dân cư nơi có hoạt động khoáng sản chịu ảnh hưởng nặng nề nhất, đặc biệt là các vấn đề chất lượng

Do đó, bài báo trình bày thực trạng xung đột nảy sinh trong thực tiễn hiện nay giữa người dân và doanh nghiệp trong hoạt động khai thác khoáng sản, từ đó tác giả đề xuất những giải pháp nhằm giải quyết hài hòa lợi ích của cả hai bên trong xung đột này.
