Việt Nam vốn có truyền thống hiếu học, người dân Việt Nam rất xem trọng đến vấn đề giáo dục. Ngày nay, khi xã hội ngày càng phát triển, giáo dục chính là chìa khóa quan trọng dẫn tới thành công. Vì vậy, giáo dục luôn nhận được sự quan tâm rất lớn của toàn xã hội. Các bậc phụ huynh đều mong muốn con mình được học tập trong môi trường tốt, chất lượng cao. Vì vậy, ngày càng nhiều học sinh Việt Nam ra nước ngoài du học ngay từ khi còn học phổ thông. Với tôi, tôi không đồng ý với quan điểm này bởi vì:
Thứ nhất, Các em sẽ không vượt qua được cú sốc tâm lý tuổi mới lớn. Khi cha mẹ cho con một mình đến sống, học tập ở một môi trường hoàn toàn xa lạ trước hết sẽ khiến các em rơi vào tình trạng đơn độc. Những cám dỗ của cuộc sống xa nhà, không có ai hướng dẫn, quản lý khi mà lứa tuổi của các em chưa làm chủ được suy nghĩ của mình khiến không phải em nào cũng đủ bản lĩnh vượt qua.
Thứ hai, Các em sẽ phải chịu áp lực rất lớn từ sự kỳ vọng của gia đình. Việc đi du học nước ngoài, không chỉ là cơ hội học tập rèn luyện của các bạn mà còn là một niềm tự hào vô cùng lớn đối với gia đình. Chính điều này đôi khi lại trở thành áp lực lớn khiến những cô cậu học trò non nớt không vượt qua được và hậu quả để lại vô cùng đáng tiếc. Sự kỳ vọng của cha mẹ lúc ấy không còn là động lực để các em phấn đầu nữa mà đã trở thành gành nặng.
Cuối cùng, Các em có thể phải gánh chịu những tổn thương về tinh thần. Các chuyên gia tâm lý giáo dục cảnh báo một nguy cơ lớn có thể xảy ra khi phụ huynh cho con đi du học quá sớm, đó là du học sinh rất dễ bị tổn thương về tâm lý. Các em trở nên cục tính, thiếu tự tin, trầm cảm do không thể hòa nhập cuộc sống mới vì trường học không thể quan tâm đến toàn bộ cuộc sống ngoài giảng đường của du học sinh.
Thực tế cho thấy cho con đi du học sớm không phải là một xu hướng hợp lý, vì vậy các bậc cha mẹ nên cân nhắc thật kỹ trước khi đưa con mình vào một môi trường sống và học tập hoàn toàn mới mẻ.
