Ty với lao động miền duyên hải
Ty là họa sĩ tự học, bắt đầu sáng tác và chọn phong cách biểu hiện siêu thực từ năm 2000, đến nay đã sáng tác khoảng hơn 800 bức tranh thuộc thể lọai này, phần lớn là sơn dầu và acrylic.
Triển lãm lần này là 25 tác phẩm chọn lọc trong các số các sáng tác trong khoảng thời gian 2012 – 2015.
Chủ đề hầu hết các tác phẩm của Ty liên quan đến đời sống và sinh hoạt của nông và ngư dân địa phương: “Bù nhìn”, “Phiên Chợ”, “Chăn Bò”, “Vắt Sữa”, xoay quanh như sinh hoạt của người dân vùng duyên hải miền Trung.
Hình ảnh người và vật trong tranh Ty đều được thể hiện bằng những nét đơn giản như những nét vạch nghịch ngợm của trẻ chăn trâu xuống nền cát, hay những nét vạch sơ khai trên hang đá của người tiền sử. Những nét cọ khỏe khoắn, dứt khoát, như quyết tâm của nhà nông phơi lưng với thời tiết khắt khe, khô hạn; như ngư dân chống chỏi với sóng gió: hàm răng, bàn tay, con trâu…tất cả đều gân guốc, mạnh mẽ, thách thức mọi khó khăn, gian khổ.
Hình ảnh cách điệu và dí dỏm khiến tranh Ty gần với tranh hí họa. Nhưng những đường viền (contour) quanh hình người (Phiên chợ,2,3..) , hay vật (Chăn trâu…) lại kéo tranh Ty đến gần hơn với tranh khắc gỗ. Tranh Ty không khéo léo, cầu kỳ mà là tổng hợp những cảm xúc chân thật, chất phác, hồn nhiên trước cuộc sống đương đại. Vì vậy, Ty đã tạo cho mình một cõi chơi riêng…
Tranh Ty được nhiều nhà sưu tập nước ngoài yêu thích, đã triển lãm nhiều lần ở Pháp, Mỹ.
