Việt nam – Bỉ: tăng cường trao đổi thương mại 2 chiều
Đoàn đại biểu thương mại Vương quốc Bỉ do bà Annemie Neyts, Bộ trưởng thương mại trong chuyến thắm Việt Nam vừa qua đã cùng người đồng cấp Vũ Khoan thảo luận các biện pháp tăng cường hợp tác thương mại. Năm 2002 kim ngạch 2 chiều dự kiến đạt 420 triệu USD. Phía Bỉ cam kết tiếp tục cá hoạt động thiết thực ủng hộ Việt Nam gia nhập WTO, đồng thời khuyến khích các nhà đầu tư của Bỉ tới Việt nam làm ăn và nâng cao hươn nữa cán cân thương mại giưã 2 nước. Đến nay, Bỉ đã có 19 dự án tại Việt Nam với tổng vốn đăng kí trên 50 triệu USD chủ yếu trong các lĩnh vực chế tác trang sức, năng lượng và hạ tần cơ sở. Việt Nam đề nghị Bỉ hỗ trợ thiết bị kỹ thuật nhằm nâng cao năng lực kiểm soát độc tố đói với sản xuất hải sản xuất khẩu, tạo điều kiện thuận lợi cho hải sản Việt Nam xuất khẩu vào Bỉ và EU, mong muốn quan hệ hợp tác giữa 2 nước lên một tầm cao mới.
