Drone của bộ môn Kỹ thuật Hàng không và Vũ trụ (Đại học Bách khoa Hà Nội) có thiết kế đơn giản với vỏ ngoài màu đen viền vàng, hầu hết chi tiết được sản xuất trong nước, trừ động cơ cánh quạt nhập khẩu từ Mỹ.

Bên cạnh đó, sản phẩm còn có những ưu điểm so với các drone 4 cánh quạt, như bố trí 8 cánh quạt, mỗi đầu trục có 2 cánh ở trên và dưới, giúp máy bay giữ thăng bằng tốt hơn và hệ thống dù cứu hộ tự động được tích hợp trong thân giúp đảm bảo an toàn cho thiết bị trong trường hợp khẩn cấp.
So với mô hình vận hành trong nhà năm 2009 của kỹ sư Lê Công Danh, giảng viên Khoa cơ khí Đại học Giao thông Vận tải TP HCM, drone này đã được thử nghiệm thành công trong môi trường thực tế với trần bay lên tới 500 m và khối lượng cất cánh tối đa là 12 kg, cho phép mang theo những trang thiết bị phức tạp, như: máy quét hồng ngoại, camera chuyên dụng...
