Thay vì được học lịch sử tại trường thì học sinh có thể tham khảo và tìm hiểu thông qua internet và thư viện. Và điều đặc biệt là học sinh lớp 12 phải trải qua cuộc thi quốc qia với 3 môn bắt buộc là Toán, Văn, Anh và 1 môn tự chọn. Nhưng phần lớn theo thống kê hằng năm thì số lượng học sinh đăng ký thi môn Lịch sử rất ít và ngày nay điều kiện quan trọng nhất để có một việc làm tốt đó chính là khả năng giao tiếp, kỹ năng sống và khả năng tính toán tốt. Do đó học sinh nên dành trọng tâm cho những môn học quan trọng hơn để đạt kết quả tốt trong kỳ thi cũng như có một việc làm ổn định trong tương lai
