Writing:

A teenager is a young person whose age falls within the range from 13-19. In these age teens have experienced what commonly referred to as peer influence and parents influence. In this essay, I will discuss the similarities and differences in the impact of family and friends on teenagers.
On the one hand, the considerable similarity exists between family and friends is that both of them can be the main sources of support. They are all people who are closet with teens, therefore, they all understand about teens very clearly. They always care about you and want all the best for you. From that point, when you are in difficult times or in a bad mood, they are willing to help you cope with each situation.
Teenagers can talk about their stressful situation for their friends and parents. Immediately, they will give the best advices to you. For example, if you are under pressure, they can help you by talking through, being there for you or providing emotional support. They can help you with practical support either. In detail, with emotional support, if you feel uncomfortable going to see doctor, a friend or a family member could go with you to help you go through how you are feeling. With practical support, if you have a party that you have to go but do not want to go alone, a friend can go with you. Friends and family always get behind teenagers to help them get across the difficult moment.
On the other hand, the influence of family and friends can have some differences. Firstly, peer friendships are dynamic. This means that peer friendships may change. In other words, they can move from one clique friendship to another, and they might cultivate new friendships and lose others. In comparison with parents’ relationship, they will continue to connect with their teens even when there are conflicts. While it might seem ineffective to communicate with friends when it leads to disagreements, most teens continue to consider parents as being an overwhelming impact on their lives.
Secondly, when the teens become more mature, the type of relationship they have with their parents begin to change. During adolescence, teens will take more roles that are adult, generate their own ideas and start mapping their lives. This means that they will spend more time with friends to start up the independence and maturity without their parents.
In conclusion, both parents and friends have significant effect on teenagers. They all stand up for you whenever you need.
