Trong nửa đầu tháng 4/2016, kim ngạch xuất khẩu của Việt Nam giảm so với kỳ 2 tháng 3 năm 2016 chủ yếu do giảm kim ngạch của một số mặt hàng: điện thoại các loại và linh kiện giảm 298 triệu USD; dầu thô giảm 99,7 triệu USD; hàng dệt may giảm 86 triệu USD; máy móc thiết bị, dụng cụ, phụ tùng giảm hơn 60 triệu USD; sắt thép các loại giảm 50 triệu USD; giày dép các loại giảm 29 triệu USD… Bên cạnh đó có một số mặt hàng có kim ngạch tăng so với kỳ trước như: túi xách, ví, vali, mũ và ô dù tăng 19,2 triệu USD; cà phê tăng 18 triệu USD; hạt điều tăng 17 triệu USD…
