Phát triển thủy sản bền vững

Nhằm phát triển ngành thủy sản nói chung và lĩnh vực nuôi tôm nước lợ bền vững trong giai đoạn từ nay đến năm 2020, các tỉnh ĐBSCL đang tổ chức lại sản xuất, tái cơ cấu lĩnh vực thủy sản theo hướng bền vững, ưu tiên đẩy mạnh phát triển nuôi tôm theo hình thức thâm canh ở các vùng được quy hoạch, có điều kiện thuận lợi, được đầu tư cơ sở hạ tầng như thủy lợi, giao thông, điện… Trong đó, tổ chức lại sản xuất theo chuỗi nghề nuôi tôm, chuyển đổi từ quy mô nuôi tôm nhỏ lẻ sang hình thức nuôi tôm tập trung với quy mô diện tích và sản lượng lớn. Thời gian tới, những hộ nuôi cá thể, nhỏ lẻ sẽ phải tổ chức lại sản xuất để có được những hợp đồng cung cấp nguyên liệu chặt chẽ với các nhà chế biến xuất khẩu. Xây dựng và nhân rộng các mô hình quản lý cộng đồng vùng nuôi tập trung để áp dụng tiêu chuẩn Vietgap và các tiêu chuẩn quốc tế khác theo yêu cầu của thị trường…

Về nuôi nước ngọt, theo ông Phạm Anh Tuấn, Tổng cục trưởng Tổng cục thủy sản (Bộ Nông nghiệp và Phát triển nông thôn), Bộ đã công bố quy hoạch diện tích nuôi cá tra vùng ĐBSCL đến năm 2020 là 7.260 ha theo tiêu chuẩn Vietgap. Diện tích này được phát triển tại các tỉnh An Giang, Đồng Tháp, Cần Thơ, Vĩnh Long, Tiền Giang, Bến Tre, Sóc Trăng, Trà Vinh và Hậu Giang, nhằm đảm bảo cho người nuôi có lãi từ 1.000-1.500 đồng/kg, nâng tổng lợi nhuận từ việc nuôi cá tra của vùng lên khoảng 1.600 tỷ đồng đến 2.400 tỷ đồng. Từ đó, phát huy lợi thế của vùng ĐBSCL trong sản xuất và quản lý toàn bộ chuỗi giá trị theo hướng hiệu quả, bền vững, phù hợp nhu cầu thị trường.
