Thomas Alva Edison (February 11 1847 – October 18, 1931) is an American inventor and businessman who developed many devices that greatly influenced life in the 20th century. He was a journalist dubbed "the wizard of Menlo Park", he was one of the first inventors of applications of the principles of mass production to the process of creation, and can therefore be considered the creation of the first industrial research laboratory. Some inventions are assigned to him but he didn't completely was the first to have the idea of it, but after the first patent is changed it becomes (the most famous is the bulb), is actually the work of many people inside his company. However, Edison is considered one of the inventors of the most idea-rich in history, he holds 1093 patents in the United States under his name, as well as the patents in the United Kingdom, France, and Germany (a total of 1500 patents around the world)
