Thực trạng này đang diễn ra phổ biến không chỉ ở người lớn mà cả trong giới trẻ. Đặc biệt, làn khói thuốc đã len lỏi vào học đường. Mặc dù tác hại về sức khoẻ do hút thuốc lá và khói thuốc gây ra đã được cảnh báo liên tục, nhưng tình trạng hút thuốc ở thanh thiếu niên hiện nay, đặc biệt là học sinh đang có chiều hướng gia tăng.
