Myanmar (hay còn được gọi là Burma) – đất nước mới chỉ mở cửa sau một thời gian dài cấm vận, chứa đựng vô vàn nét đẹp không chỉ ở cảnh sắc mà còn cả ở văn hóa. Chính điều đó, vùng đất này đã được tôi lựa chọn trong chuyến hành trình tuổi trẻ của mình.

Điểm đến đầu tiên trong hành trình của chúng tôi là cố đô Old Bagan, có diện tích 42km², nằm trên bờ của dòng sông Ayeyarwaddy ở khu vực trung tâm của Myanamar. Cố đô Old Bagan là nơi hội tụ những công trình kiến trúc đền chùa độc đáo nhất Đông Nam Á với hơn 3000 đền, chùa cổ – một bằng chứng cho thời kỳ lịch sử huy hoàng của Myanmar.

Bagan bao gồm 3 thị trấn: Nyuang U, Old Bagan và New Bagan cùng một khu vực trải rộng với nhiều đền thờ. Với số lượng đền chùa, tu viện cùng nhiều giá trị văn hóa, tín ngưỡng Phật giáo đặc sắc, Old Bagan của Myanmar luôn biết cách chinh phục du khách.

Và đặc biệt, bất kì ai khi đến Old Bagan cũng không thể bỏ qua việc ngắm bình minh và hoàng hôn tại Shwesandaw – nơi được mệnh danh là ngôi đền mặt trời lặn. Để đến được đây, bạn có thể di chuyển bằng xe ngựa hoặc thuê xe máy điện.


Khác xa với sự yên bình tại Old Bagan, điểm đến tiếp theo chúng tôi lựa chọn là Mandalay, mảnh đất với đầy sự ồn ào của xe cộ và tàu bè tấp nập trên sông. Nhưng bên trong vẻ bề ngoài hiện đại và đầy bụi bặm, Mandalay vẫn in đậm những dấu ấn cuối cùng của lịch sử Myanmar.

Cách thành phố Yagoon 716km về phía Bắc là trung tâm của nền văn hóa thời kỳ vương quốc Kohbaun. Chính vì vậy, nơi đây trở thành điềm hấp dẫn nhiều khách du lịch nhất ở Myanmar. Do thời gian khám phá vùng đất này chỉ có hơn nửa ngày nên chúng tôi quyết định tìm đến cây cầu gỗ teak Ubein – một trong những nơi ngắm hoàng hôn đẹp nhất thế giới.

Cầu gỗ Ubein nằm ở ngoại ô Mandalay, vùng châu thổ ven sông Taungthamna. Do lòng sông rất rộng nên để nối 2 bờ sông, người dân Myanmar đã xây dựng cây cầu dài lên tới 1,2 km. Đây chính là cây cầu gỗ dài nhất và lâu đời nhất trên thế giới, bên kia cầu là làng cổ Inwa đã hơn 400 tuổi.

Vào những chiều hè, một màu cam rực lửa được bao trùm lên toàn cảnh vật quanh cầu. Để ngắm hoàng hôn, chúng tôi đã lựa chọn cách ngồi lênh đênh trong những con thuyền trên sông. Cảm giác thật sự thích thú khi được thưởng lãm cảnh cây cầu huyền thoại soi bóng xuống hồ nước và được hòa mình vào giữa sắc vàng cam của buổi chiều tà. Những đợt sóng nhỏ được tạo nên bởi các mái chèo từ các con thuyền chở khách du lịch càng làm cho những vệt nắng trở nên lung linh, huyền ảo hơn…

Rời thành phố Mandalay, chúng tôi tìm đến hồ Inle, rời xa sự ồn ào và nóng nực của những ngày nắng, ở hồ Inle bạn sẽ cảm nhận thật rõ sự yên bình và tiết trời se lạnh vào buổi sáng sớm.

Với diện tích mặt nước gần 250 km², hồ Inle là hồ nước ngọt lớn thứ 2 ở Myanmar nhưng lại là hồ đẹp nhất. Hồ nối với khu Nyangshwe bằng một con kênh lớn. Đây là huyết mạch giao thông chính bằng đường thủy ra hồ Inle cũng như nơi mang nước tưới tiêu từ hồ vào các cánh đồng trong vùng. Bao bọc xung quanh hồ là núi và những ngôi làng nho nhỏ, nơi ấy có những ngôi nhà sàn trên mặt nước, những tu viện, những ngôi chùa xinh đẹp.


Ngồi trên thuyền ngắm hồ Inle vào buổi sáng sớm tinh mơ, cảm giác như bồng bềnh giữa mây nước chốn thiên đường. Tôi chưa bao giờ thấy được thứ cảm giác đó ở bất cứ nơi nào tôi đã đi qua, hồ Inle không đẹp nổi bật, không làm bạn hét toáng lên khi nhìn thấy nhưng sống với nó, dần dần bạn sẽ bị nó mê hoặc và chẳng muốn xa rời.

Inle không rộng kiểu bát ngát mênh mông mà được điểm xuyến bởi những cồn cỏ xanh ngắt thấp thoáng các khu nhà sàn soi bóng xuống mặt hồ. Đây đó có những lò rèn, xưởng thủ công mỹ nghệ làm dù che nắng bằng giấy súc, làm đồ bạc hay dệt vải từ những cọng tơ của cuốn lá sen và một số quán ăn phục vụ cho du khách nổi trên mặt hồ.
