Việc gia nhập WTO sẽ đưa ngành chế biến sữa vào cuộc cạnh tranh mới mà quyết liệt hơn. Nguyên nhân chủ yếu là do nhiều nước thành viên trong tổ chức WTO đang sản xuất sữa với giá thành cực rẻ. Đây là những nước được thiên nhiên ưu đãi phù hợp với qui mô chăn nuôi bò sữa công nghiệp, chi phí rất thấp.
