Người Khmer Nam Bộ có vốn văn học phong phú. Bên cạnh nhiều thể loại văn học dân gian như: Dân ca, tục ngữ, truyền thuyết, truyện cổ tích, thần thoại,…. thì người Khmer Nam Bộ hiện nay còn sáng tác thơ với nhiều thể loại. Một điểm đặc biệt trong thơ Khmer là mỗi bài thơ đều có thể hát như một bài hát. Trong phạm vi bài viết của mình, tôi sẽ giới thiệu một số thể loại thơ Khmer đang được sử dụng để giảng dạy cho học sinh tại các trường hiện nay.
