Đối với người học, hoạt động nghiên cứu khoa học vẫn còn khá mới mẻ trong năm đầu nhập học, nhưng dần dần được sự hướng dẫn, khích lệ của thầy, cô sinh viên đã tham gia nghiên cứu khoa học nhiệt tình hơn. Giai đoạn từ năm 2011 đến năm 2015 có 115 sinh viên của chương trình đạt giải thưởng nghiên cứu khoa học cấp Khoa (H14.14.04.09) và 13 sinh viên được Giám đốc ĐHQGHN tặng bằng khen cho thành tích nghiên cứu khoa học (H14.14.04.10).
