Trầm cảm là một vấn đề sức khỏe cộng đồng quan trọng đứng thứ 7 trong 10 vấn đề sức khỏe toàn cầu. Nghiên cứu cắt ngang nhằm xác định tỉ lệ trầm cảm trên công nhân tại công ty xi măng Chinfon Hải Phòng. Số liệu được thu thập bằng phỏng vấn theo bộ câu hỏi đánh giá trầm cảm (Test Beck). Kết quả phỏng vấn 550 công nhân (CN) cho thấy tỷ lệ trầm cảm trên CN lao động trực tiếp của công ty là 2,6%; tỷ lệ mắc cao hơn ở nhóm CN nữ, đã lập gia đình, học vấn thấp, thâm niên công tác cao. Kết luận: Tỷ lệ mắc trầm cảm trên CN công ty xi măng Chinfon thấp hơn so với cộng đồng, để nâng cao hiệu quả làm việc, công ty cần tổ chức các buổi nói chuyện về tâm lý lao động, tâm lý xã hội giúp người lao động nhận ra những yếu tố nguy cơ dẫn tới trầm cảm cũng như các giải pháp phòng chống và ứng phó với trầm cảm nói chung.
