Tính đến tháng 9/2014, Vinamilk đã có tổng cộng năm nông trại với khoảng 9.000 con bò sữa, chiếm khoảng 4,5% số lượng bò cả nước. Ngoài ra, Vinamilk đã tuyển chọn và nhập khẩu thêm 5.000 con bò cao sản từ Úc và Mỹ, nhằm cải thiện chất lượng và số lượng đàn bò trong hai năm 2014 và 2015. Cả chuỗi năm nông trại của Vinamilk đã được cấp chứng nhận chất lượng ISO 9001:2008 của Bureau Veritas (Pháp). Trong đó, ba nông trại (Nghệ An, Tuyên Quang, Lâm Đồng) đã được cấp chứng nhận thực hành nông nghiệp tốt toàn cầu (Global G.A.P.).
