Theo báo cáo của UNESCO trên thế giới ngày nay có hơn 6000 ngôn ngữ nhưng hơn phân nửa là đang nằm trong sự đe dọa biến mất trước cuối thế kỷ này. Chúng ta cần làm bất cứ điều gì đó để giữ lại các ngôn ngữ này. Chúng ta cần sử dụng tiếng anh như là một ngôn ngữ toàn cầu vì nó được sử dụng rộng rãi trong nhiều lĩnh vực như: thương mại, kinh tế, giáo dục.... Hiện có nhiều nước trên thế giới xem ngôn ngữ tiếng Anh như là ngôn ngữ thứ nhất
