Tin Mừng ngày mai Chúa Giê su nói với tôi: Người muốn dẫn đưa con người tiến vào một tương quan đích thực với Thiên Chúa là Cha của Người. Theo Người: bất cứ cái gì cản trở mối tương quan đó đều phải dứt khoát loại bỏ. Dầu không sử dụng thành ngữ ‘làm nghèo trước mặt Thiên Chúa’, nhưng rõ ràng Đức Giê-su muốn ám chỉ điều đó khi Người nói: “Kẻ nào thu tích của cải cho mình mà không lo làm giầu trước mặt Thiên Chúa, thì số phận cũng như thế đó”. Trong nội dung này thì ‘của cải’ ở đây phải bao gồm luôn cả kiến thức, thanh danh, đạo đức
‘làm giầu trước mặt Thiên Chúa’ theo cách nói của Đức Giê-su, còn cao xa hơn cả sống thánh thiện, khôn ngoan, công chính, làm phép lạ…, nó phải là nội dung trung thực nhất của đời sống Ki-tô hữu; đó chính là đón nhận lòng nhân ái xót thương vô điều kiện Thiên Chúa ban…, và rồi thực thi lòng nhân ái đó cách quảng đại đối với tha nhân
