Ngân hàng thương mại cổ phần Công Thương Việt Nam chi nhánh Gia Lai thành lập vào năm 2000 trước đây chỉ là một chi nhánh hoạt động nhỏ sau đó phát triển, mở rộng đầu tiên là phòng giao dịch Pleiku 106 Trần Phú và 59 Hai Bà trưng. Do yêu cầu của thị trường và nhu cầu phát triển của Ngân hàng, chi nhánh đã mở rộng sang các huyện, hiện tại đã có 9 phòng giao dịch trên khắp các huyện trong tỉnh Gia Lai. Ngày 15/04/2008 chi nhánh Ngân hàng đổi tên thương hiệu từ INCOMBANK sang thương hiệu mới VIETINBANK. Ngày 08/07/2009 chi nhánh chính thức đổi tên thành Ngân hàng Thương mại Cổ phần Công Thương Việt Nam.

On 15/04/2008 bank branches rebranded from INCOMBANK to brand new VIETINBANK. On 08/07/2009 branch officially changed its name to joint stock commercial bank for industry and trade, Vietnam.
