Xưa nay mọi người vẫn thường tới Mộc Châu bằng con đường quốc lộ 6: Hà Nội - Hòa Bình - Mộc Châu với độ dài 190km. Cung đường này ngắn nhất, nhưng quốc lộ 6 đoạn Hà Nội - Hòa Bình thường đông xe cộ trong khi đường lại rất xấu. Trong chuyến hành trình mới, chúng mình quyết định trở lại Mộc Châu bằng một cung đường khác.

Đường từ bến đò Vạn Yên về Mộc Châu tuy không còn xa, nhưng có lẽ là đoạn thú vị nhất cho những tay lái thích trải nghiệm.
