1. Rules for more ED verb:
This rule also applies to the other completed offline. 1.1. Verb ending in E: Add ED at the end of this verb eg play - played look - Looked plow - plowed Tax - Taxed 1.2. The verb ending in E, then just add "d" for example: hope - hoped die - Died 1.3. Double the consonant before adding ED: - If you are moving from one spell (one-syllable words) with one consonant at the end, they must double the consonant before adding ED eg stop - stopped / stɑpt / hug - hugged / hʌɡd / Note: The following is only one syllable but two consonants (Up to 3) in the end, only adding ED offline Climb -> climbed (2 final consonant) -> / klaɪmd / Comb - > combed (2 final consonant) -> / kəʊmd / Prompt -> Prompted (3 final consonant), English only 1 from the 3 end of the first consonant rhyme ok. - For the second syllable verb or more if the accent falls on the last syllable must be doubled consonant before adding ED. (If no consonant at the end of it and not duplicated offline) prefer - preferred (Accent hit in the last syllable) permit - phép (Accent hit in the last syllable) Open -> Opened (Accent click on the first syllable) 1.4. Switch "y" to "i" and more ED: When the last syllable verb form consonant + Y, then change "y" to "i" before adding ED eg carry - Carried try - tried 2.
