Doanh thu từ các hoạt động du lịch dịch vụ đã tăng từ gần 600 tỷ đồng (năm 2014) lên trên 708 tỷ đồng, năm 2015. Với doanh thu ấn tượng như vậy, tỉnh Hà Giang đang đẩy mạnh việc xây dựng và phát triển các điểm du lịch cộng đồng gắn với những sản phẩm truyền thống nhằm thu hút du khách và tạo cơ hội cho người dân địa phương có thêm thu nhập, phát triển và ổn định cuộc sống từ hoạt động du lịch. Tuy nhiên, để các mô hình du lịch này ổn định và phát triển lâu dài, cần phải tăng cường mở các lớp đào tạo, bồi dưỡng về chuyên môn nghiệp vụ cho đội ngũ hướng dẫn viên, tiếp viên ở các điểm du lịch, cán bộ hành chính quản lý và đặc biệt là người dân để họ có thể từng bước bước chuyên nghiệp hóa, nhất là trong giao tiếp với khách nước ngoài (chủ yếu là tiếng Anh). Tuy nhiên, qua khảo sát chúng tôi nhận thấy trình độ tiếng Anh của các nhóm sinh kế du lịch chưa đủ để đáp ứng nhu cầu thực tế,
