BOD đã phê duyệt chủ trương khởi động lại dự án 3DS đồng thời điều chỉnh tăng ngân sách thêm 80,000 USD (phê duyệt ban đầu theo kế hoạch của năm 2015 là 70,000 USD) nâng tổng mức ngân sách cho dự án thành 150,000 USD (bằng chữ: một trăm năm mươi nghìn đô la Mỹ) do thực tế phát sinh từ quá trình khảo sát để triển khai dự án dẫn đến chi phí triển khai vượt ngân sách đã được HĐTV phê duyệt. Do vậy bắt buộc phải trình HĐTV phê duyệt mở rộng ngân sách cho dự án này.
