Usually teaches a reading comprehension must proceed in three steps: a. Pre-reading b. While-reading c. Post – reading/Further reading. To proceed with the 3 steps above, I've used different techniques, depending on the purpose and the different requirements of each text/readings. To do this, I also conduct teaching a lesson read out by 3 steps above but with different skills.
