ChinaJoy lần 6 được tổ chức từ ngày 17 – 19 tháng 7 năm 2008, địa điểm tổ chức Tân Trung tâm Triển lãm Thượng Hải. Về cơ bản thì ở lần tổ chức này đã có những bước tiến lớn so với trước kia khi tổng diện tích khu vực triển lãm đã mở rộng lên 35,000m2, có hơn 170 công ty game tham gia tới từ nội địa Trung Quốc và nước ngoài như Mỹ, Nhật, Pháp, Canada, Úc…, trong đó dẫn đầu các công ty của Trung Quốc phải kể tới Shanda, NetEase, The9, Giant, 9you, Perfect World, Tencent, Kingsoft, Tiancity, còn các đại diện từ nước ngoài thì có những cái tên lớn như Ubisoft của Pháp, Sony của Nhật Bản.
Sản phẩm tham dự triển lãm bao gồm những thành phần chính như game online, game PC, game console, game mobile, game handheld và các mặt hàng liên quan tới dịch vụ viễn thông, hàng điện tử tiêu dùng kỹ thuật số, nhiều loại hoạt hình và tranh ảnh game. Nhằm thúc đẩy cơ cấu nghiên cứu và phát triển game của triển lãm, đồng thời hình thành sự tích lũy công nghệ của ngành công nghiệp game, ban tổ chức ChinaJoy đã cho tăng cường công năng của khu vực B to B (khu vực luận đàm dành cho các doanh nghiệp), rất nhiều công ty trong và ngoài nước đã đưa ra những dự án hợp tác cũng như công bố các sản phẩm mới của mình tại đây.

ChinaJoy lần 7 được tổ chức từ ngày 23 – 26 tháng 7 năm 2009, địa điểm tổ chức là Tân Trung tâm Triển lãm Thượng Hải. Kế thừa thành công ở lần tổ chức trước, hội chợ lần này đã đón nhận nhiều công ty đến từ Châu Âu, Châu Mỹ, Nhật Bản, Hàn Quốc, các nước Đông Nam Á, Đài Loan, HongKong và nội địa Trung Quốc cùng nhiều quốc gia, khu vực tâm tới lĩnh vực giải trí kỹ thuật số tương tác khác tới tham dự và trình diễn, tổng cộng đã có 1,117 ký giả tới triển lãm để làm phóng sự và lấy tin ngay tại hiện trường.
Trong thời gian triển lãm diễn ra thì đã có các diễn dàn quốc tế hay hội nghị quan trọng về lĩnh vực game tiêu biểu như China Game Business Conference, China International Digital Entertainment Forum, China Game Developers Conference được tổ chức.
