Với các kết quả đã đạt được trong các năm qua, và dựa vào: chính sách môi trường, các yêu cầu pháp luật và các yêu cầu khác mà tổ chức mô tả, các khía cạnh môi trường đáng kể, quan điểm của bên hữu quan, …  đề xuất các mục tiêu, chỉ tiêu ngắn hạn và dài hạn và chương trình quản lý môi trường-an toàn-sức khỏe.
• Bảng mục tiêu, chỉ tiêu ngắn hạn: Đề ra các mục tiêu, chỉ tiêu và chương trình cho hành động cho các chỉ tiêu xả thải bị vượt tiêu chuẩn, mà công ty có khả năng thực hiện kiểm soát được ngay trong thời gian ngắn.
• Bảng mục tiêu, chỉ tiêu dài hạn: Đề ra các mục tiêu, chỉ tiêu và chương trình hành động trong một thời gian đủ dài để công ty có thể thực hiện các tiến trình giảm thải, tiếtkiệm… phù hợp với khả năng của công ty.
