Lịch sử Cầu Quay Sông Hàn :

- Sau năm 1975, sau chiến tranh kết thúc thành phố Đà Nẵng chỉ có duy nhất một chiếc cầu bắt qua quận 3 (quận 3 hiện nay là quận Sơn Trà), cây cầu duy nhất này là cầu Nguyễn Văn Trổi do Mỹ xây dựng để phục vụ chiến tranh, vì không có nhiều cầu bắt qua Sông Hàn để phục vụ vận chuyển hàng hóa từ quận Sơn Trà qua trung tâm thành phố Đà Nẵng, lúc bấy giờ người dân chỉ di chuyển bằng phà nên gặp rất nhiều khó khăn và mất thời gian.
- Năm 1997, thành phố Đà Nẵng thuộc trực thuộc trung ương, dự án cầu Quay Sông Hàn được thiết kế.
- Ngày 2 tháng 9 năm 1998, Cầu Quay Sông Hàn bắt đầu được thi công xây dựng. Cầu Quay Sông Hàn do chính các kỹ sư Việt Nam thiết kế và thi công, là một cây cầu quay độc nhất vô nhị tại Việt Nam.
- Ngày 29 tháng 3 năm 2000, Nhân dịp kỉ niệm 25 năm giải phóng Đà Nẵng, Cầu Quay Sông Hàn chính thức khánh thành và cho vào hoạt động.
- Cầu Quay Sông Hàn được đưa vào hoạt động là niềm tự hào của người dân Đà Nẵng, người dân Đà Nẵng đã quyên góp lại cùng chính quyền để thực hiện dự án này.
- Hiện nay chính nhờ cây cầu này mà thành phố Đà Nẵng càng phát triển vững mạnh và rộng lớn, chính cây cầu này cũng góp phần cho ngành du lịch Đà Nẵng được phát triển vượt bật.
