III. LỊCH SỬ:
Từ năm 1653 – khi chúa Nguyễn Phúc Tần lập đơn vị hành chính dinh Thái Khang trên vùng đất này là tỉnh Khánh hòa đến đầu Thế kỉ XX, Cam ranh là một phần đất của huyện Vĩnh Xương, phũ Diên Khánh. Đến đây du khách có thể ngắm toàn bộ quanh cảnh Cam Ranh và bán đảo Cam Ranh. Hiện tại ngôi chùa đang được tiếp tục xây dựng. Đây cũng sẽ là điểm du lịch văn hoá, tâm linh trong lương lai không xa.

3. Đảo Bình Ba:

Những hình dáng của đá tại bãi Chướng, bãi Nồm, bãi Nhà Cũ….đẹp không thua kém gì hòn Chồng ở Nha Trang.
Người dân trên đảo sống bằng nghề khai thác thuỷ sản, đặc biệt là nuôi tôm hùm. Những ngôi nhà nằm san sát hướng ra phía biển. Xa xa, tàu bè tấp nập giao thương tại cảng cá. Đường xá quanh làng sạch sẽ.
Khi đã thoả mãn với các hoạt động bơi lội dưới biển, bạn có thể làm một vòng tham quan một số địa điểm như lăng ông Nam Hải, miếu Bà, đình làng Bình Hưng, chùa Bình Hưng…. Đó là những nơi còn lưu giữ bản sắc văn hoá truyền thống cộng đồng cư dân miền biển. Cứ hai năm một lần, người dân trên đảo lại tổ chức lễ hội cúng lăng, cúng đình…, cả làng tập trung sinh hoạt đông vui, náo nhiệt.
Đảo còn có ngọn hải đăng Hòn Chút – đã trên 100 năm tuổi và là “cây” đèn biển của vịnh Cam Ranh. Đứng trên ngọn hải đăng, bạn có thể quan sát nhịp sống hối hả của các con tàu ăn hàng trên cảng Cam Ranh, phóng tầm mắt ra tới vùng biển bao la nơi điểm xuyết những chiếc thuyền câu bé nhỏ, từ xa trông như những món đồ chơi.
Vì là làng chài, nên đồ hải sản tại đây luôn tươi mới. Bạn có thể thuê thuyền ra thăm những bè nuôi hải sản của ngư dân và thưởng thức đồ ăn ngay tại đó. Đặc biệt, những con tàu này có đáy bằng kính trong veo, nên bạn có thể vừa di chuyển vừa thưởng thức vẻ đẹp của san hô.

Bình Lập, thôn nhỏ nằm ẩn mình một góc núi Chúa (thuộc vườn quốc gia Núi Chúa) vươn dài ra biển về phía tỉnh Khánh Hoà làm nên bán đảo Cam Lập.
Ngày trước khi nghe đến thôn Bình Lập ai cũng lắc đầu ngao ngán bởi đường duy nhất đến đây là đi ghe vượt biển khoảng 2 giờ. Khi con đường nhựa dài 11km được xây dựng, vùng đất biệt lập này trở nên đổi khác.

Người dân tập trung sinh sống ở bắc bán đảo, các ghe thuyền đánh bắt thuỷ sản lẫn lồng nuôi tôm hùm được tập trung về khu vực Tàu Bể và bãi Hạ Lao. Một bãi biển tuyệt đẹp mà dân địa phương đặt là bãi Ngang có bãi cát trắng xoá, mịn sạch với chiều dài gần 3 cây số uốn cong cong về phía nam của bán đảo. Bãi cát sạch và biển xanh đến lạ kỳ kéo dài từ bờ cát ra tận chân trời như tấm thảm tự nhiên.
