Để đánh giá tình hình và triển vọng trong tương lai của doanh nghiệp thì cán bộ thẩm định phải phân tích trong mối quan hệ với tình hình thị trường hiện tại: Xu hướng phát triển của ngành; các vấn đề liên quan đến cải tiến kỹ thuật; sản phẩm và khả năng cạnh tranh của sản phẩm trên thị trường trong và ngoài nước; những thay đổi về điều kiện lao động; chính sách của Chính phủ ảnh hưởng trực tiếp hay gián tiếp; vị thế hiện tại của doanh nghiệp trong ngành; phương pháp sản xuất, công nghệ, nhãn hiệu thương mại của công ty, đánh giá tác đối với việc nâng cao mức cạnh tranh của công ty.
