Lợi thế là sinh viên có thể nhận được một lượng thông tin đa dạng mà diễn đàn cung cấp để sinh viên có cái nhìn sâu về vấn đề, thông tin sẽ được cung cấp một cách nhanh chóng vì có nhiều người cùng tham gai thảo luận cùng một lúc về những thông tin mới ngay lập tức. Tuy nhiên, thông tin cần phải có người xác minh tính trung thực của nó, nếu không thì sinh viên rất dễ bị confuse về nó.
