Finland: International students will not be exempt from tuition fees
PhD Students, researchers and foreign students will no longer be exempt from the annual tuition fees while studying at least 1,500 euros in Finland.
Parliament of Finland has decided to charge fees for undergraduate students do not come from European countries. This provision will affect international students outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
Annual tuition rates at least 1,500 euros will apply to students who do not learn in Finnish or Swedish and it will be applied from the beginning of August 2017. Students obtained a doctorate or researchers it also is not exempt from the fee.
The university will also establish a system of financial support to offer scholarships to support students.
The educational policy are three parties in the government agreed to support.
