Khoa Ngữ văn
Lịch sử: Khoa Ngữ văn ra đời cùng với sự ra đời của Trường Đại học Sư phạm, tính từ 1951 theo chủ trương của Chính phủ nước Việt nam, nay được gọi là Cộng hòa xã hội chủ nghĩa Việt Nam.
Sau nửa thế kỉ xây dựng và phát triển, Khoa Ngữ văn Trường Đại học sư phạm Hà Nội bước tiếp chặng đường mới với những đặc điểm mới, thành tựu mới, định hướng mới. Cũng từ sau năm 2000, khoa Ngữ văn cùng với Trường Đại học Sư phạm Hà Nội và ngành giáo dục trong cả nước có những đổi mới to lớn về nội dung chương trình và phương pháp dạy - học.
Hiện nay khoa Ngữ văn có một số môn như Văn học dân gian, văn học nước ngoài, Hán nôm,..
Một số thành tựu:
Nhu cầu cập nhật hóa, hiện đại hóa kiến thức về nội dung, nhu cầu vận dụng những tiến bộ khoa học, nhất là khoa học công nghệ thông tin vào giảng dạy trở thành nhu cầu bức thiết đối với từng người. Điều này đã đặt khoa Ngữ văn trước những thời cơ mới và cả những thách thức mới.
Khoa vừa mở rộng các hệ đào tạo ngoài trường, vừa đa dạng và đa ngành hoá đào tạo: đào tạo văn bằng 2, dạy tiếng Việt và văn học cho người nước ngoài. Hệ thống giáo trình mới ở tất cả các hệ về cơ bản đã hoàn thành trên cơ sở cập nhật những thông tin khoa học mới nhất về chuyên ngành trong, ngoài nước. Khoa còn góp phần to lớn vào việc đổi mới chương trình và sách giáo khoa phổ thông, nhiều cán bộ giảng dạy của khoa là Tổng chủ biên, chủ biên, tác giả sách giáo khoa từ bậc tiểu học đến bậc trung học phổ thông. Về xây dựng cơ sở vật chất, thư viện khoa ngày càng được củng cố và mở rông với số lượng sách phục vụ chuyên ngành đáp ứng được nhu cầu học tập và NCKH của sinh viên, cao học, nghiên cứu sinh. Khoa đã có một phòng học chuẩn với trang thiết bị dạy và học khá hiện đại.

Faculty of PhilologyHistory: Faculty of Philology came along with the introduction of the Pedagogical University, since 1951, according to advocates of the Vietnamese Government, which is now known as the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. After half a century of building and development, Faculty of Philology University pedagogy Hanoi next steps a new journey with the new characteristics, new achievements, new direction. Also since 2000, Faculty of literature along with the University of Hanoi pedagogical and educational sectors in the country have these tremendous innovations in terms of program content and methods of teaching-learning. Currently Faculty of Philology has a number of disciplines, such as folk literature, foreign literature, Han, etc.Some of accomplishments: Needs update, modernize the content knowledge, needs to apply scientific advances, particularly in information science and technology into teaching becoming needs for each person. This has put the Faculty of Philology in front of the new opportunity and new challenge. The Faculty has just expanded the training system in addition to the school, just as varied and multidisciplinary laboratory training: 2 qualification training, teaches Vietnamese and literature for foreigners. New curriculum system in all of us basically has completed on the basis of the latest scientific information about specialized in, outside the country. The Faculty also contributes to the renewal of the program and the popular textbooks, many lecturers of the Faculty's General Editor, Editor, author of textbooks from primary to high school level. On building the facilities, the library faculty are consolidated and expanded with a number of specialized service to meet the needs of SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH and higher education, students, PhD students. The Faculty has a standard classroom with teaching and learning are quite modern.
