Khi AEC ra đời, thuế nhập khẩu sản phẩm và dịch vụ từ các nước thành viên sẽ giảm về 0%, tất cả các lĩnh vực kinh tế sẽ được mở cửa tiếp nhận đầu tư và doanh nghiệp một nước thành viên làm ăn ở các nước AEC khác sẽ được đối xử bình đẳng với doanh nghiệp sở tại.
