Năm 2012, khi đó tôi đang là sinh viên năm nhất đại học mở Hà Nội khoa công nghệ sinh học, Do cảm thấy không phù hợp với ngành học tôi quyết định thi lại đại học FPT và tôi đã được nhận vào trường. Một vấn đề phát sinh là làm sao thuyết phục được bố mẹ cho tôi nghỉ học ở đại học mở và chuyển sang học tại đại học FPT, ngôi trường nổi tiếng đắt đỏ và chủ yếu dành cho con nhà giàu và nhà tôi thì cũng không có điều kiện đầy đủ như những bạn học trong ngôi trường này. Tôi tìm mọi cách thuyết phục bố mẹ cho tôi chuyển sang học tại đây.
Bước 1: Do mẹ hợp với tôi hơn nên tôi về nói chuyện với mẹ trước, đưa ra những ưu điểm của trường ví dụ như : điều kiện cơ sở vật chất tốt ,môi trường sáng tạo, giáo trình bằng tiếng anh có cơ hội nghề nghiệp cao khi ra trường, giúp phát huy tối đa sự sáng tạo của sinh viên...nghe tôi trình bày nguyện vọng xong mẹ có vẻ cũng đồng ý và mẹ hỏi học phí là bao nhiêu? tôi nói 1100USD một kỳ mẹ hơi lo và mẹ bảo để mẹ suy nghĩ.
Bước 2: Tôi nhờ bác tôi và anh trai tôi nói chuyện thêm với mẹ về cơ hội cũng như điều kiện của ngôi trường này.
Bước 3: Tôi đã cam kết với mẹ là sẽ cố gắng học để ra trường sớm nhất có thể và đồng ý với mẹ là mẹ đầu tư tiền cho tôi đi học sau này tôi sẽ hoàn trả lại số tiền mà mẹ đã đầu tư cho tôi. Mẹ đồng ý cho tôi chuyển trường. Giờ bước khó khăn nhất là thuyết phục bố tôi, bố tôi khá bảo thủ và đã quyết cái gì thì khó mà thay đổi.
Mẹ đã nói chuyện với bố nhưng bố chưa đồng ý : vì thứ nhất là học phí cao và tôi đang học đại học mở rồi, và trình độ tiếng anh của tôi không cao đó là những lý do mà bố đưa ra để không đồng ý cho tôi chuyển trường.
Tôi đã nói chuyện với bố , tôi hứa sẽ cố gắng để học tiếng anh cho thật tốt và khi nào ra trường thì sẽ hoàn trả lại tiền cho bố mẹ và tôi đã viết cam kết và ký. Bố tôi chưa đồng ý , tôi đã nhờ bác tôi tác động thêm với bố, nhà bác cũng có một anh khóa một của trường nên giờ bác rất ủng hộ tôi theo học tại đây. Sau một tuần suy nghĩ thì bố tôi cũng đã đồng ý với một điều kiện bố sẽ đứng ra vay tiền cho tôi và tôi cam kết phải hoàn trả lại trong 5 năm sau khi ra trường, tôi đồng ý.
Buổi đàm phán thành công , tôi có được cái mà tôi muốn là được đi học tại đại học FPT và bố mẹ cũng có được cái cam kết của tôi.
