Ngày nay, phương pháp giáo dục của nước ta đã có sự đổi mới, học tập từ các quốc gia phát triển trên thế giới, đó là phương pháp dạy học tích cực: dạy và học không qua tổ chức các hoạt động học tập của học sinh, chú trọng rèn luyện phương pháp tự học cho học sinh, tăng cường học tập cá thể phối hợp với học tập hợp tác, kết hợp đánh giá củathầy và tự đánh giá của trò. Phương pháp giáo dục của nước ta không còn diễn giảng và truyền thụ 1 chiều nữa mà thay vì đó là điều tra, tìm tòi, đặt và giải quyết vấn đề, dạy học tương tác, vấn đáp, hoạt động nhóm, đóng vai, động não,….Các phương pháp mới này giống với các quốc gia tiên tiến khác như Nhật bản “học sinh là trung tâm”, chỉ khác biệt ở chỗ Nhật đầu tư nhiều hơn về giáo dục nên cơ sở vật chất, thiết bị giáo dục, thư viện, sách, internet của họ cao hơn nước ta nên phương pháp dạy học tích cực của họ có hiệu quả hơn.
