Đối với trẻ thơ, thế giới chuyện cổ tích luôn là một thế giới huyền diệu, ở đó chứa đựng nhiều phép nhiệm màu, với hình ảnh những nàng công chúa xinh đẹp, những chàng hoàng tử dũng cảm và những con vật ngộ nghĩnh, thông minh.

Chuyện cổ tích với câu chuyện thường là người tốt, người xấu rõ ràng, và kết thúc câu chuyện bao giờ cái tốt cũng thắng, người tốt được sung sướng, hạnh phúc; kẻ xấu bị trừng trị. Đối với trẻ thơ, đó rõ ràng như là trắng với đen, giúp các em hiểu hơn về thế giới và quy luật công bằng của nó. Các em sẽ có niềm tin là nếu làm việc tốt thì sẽ được yêu quý, không nên làm việc xấu vì sẽ bị phạt và mọi người ghét bỏ.
