Tháng 7 năm 2014, tôi đã có một trải nghiệm đặc biệt ý nghĩa. Tôi đã chứng kiến những số phận rất khó khăn trong xã hội. Nhờ có dự án, tôi đã được trao cơ hội góp phần tạo nên một cuộc sống tốt đẹp hơn cho họ. Tôi đã rất biết ơn điều đó.

Khi tôi đến thực địa tại khu vực sông hồng, chúng tôi nhận thấy điều khó khăn nhất ở đây là nước sạch. Những người dân sống ở đây, phần lớn đều rời bỏ các làng quê nghèo để lên thành phố kiếm sống, nhưng cuộc sống không phải lúc nào cũng như chúng ta mong đợi. Mỗi mảnh đời ở đây đều là những câu chuyện buồn khác nhau. Khi mà cuộc sống của họ mãi chỉ quẩn quanh với miếng cơm, manh áo/ đủ ăn đủ mặc thì họ không thể có thời gian để quan tâm nước họ sử dụng có sạch hay không. Dẫu biết rằng, cuộc sống bây giờ là cơ chế đào thải, nhưng họ không có lỗi. Nếu có lỗi ở đây thì phải chăng sự nghèo đói đã quá tàn ác với họ. Nó đeo bám họ từ thế hệ này sang thế hệ khác.

Mặc dù số lượng bình lọc được lắp đặt còn hạn chế, tôi vẫn hi vọng nó có thể cải thiện sức khỏe và giúp họ gia tăng số năm lao động. Thêm vào đó, tôi cũng mong đợi sự động viên và hỗ trợ từ chúng tôi có thể truyền cho những đứa trẻ sức mạnh để vươn lên trong cuộc sống và nhìn về một tương lai tốt đẹp hơn.
