Trong năm 2015, Trường Đại học Kinh tế Quốc dân dự kiến tổ chức một khóa học “cao cấp lý luận chính trị”, nhằm nâng cao trình độ lý luận cho cán bộ quản lý, góp phần xây dựng đội ngũ cán bộ chất lượng cao cho Trường Đại học Kinh tế Quốc dân. Trong khoảng đầu năm 2015, Trường Đại học Kinh tế Quốc dân cơ bản kiện toàn bộ máy viên chức quản lý theo nhiệm kỳ hiệu trưởng 2013 – 2018 với việc bổ nhiệm mới, bổ nhiệm lại và kéo dài cho 203 viên chức quản lý. Để thực hiện việc mở lớp hiệu quả và đúng tiến độ, Nhà trường dự kiến mở lớp vào tháng 10 năm 2015 và thời gian dự kiến của một khóa học được kéo dài trong ba năm. Vì đây là một lớp học chính quy, nên thời gian học tập sẽ diễn ra vào khoảng 2 đến 3 buổi trong một tuần, do đó tạo điều kiện thuận lợi cho viên chức quản lý của Trường Đại học Kinh tế Quốc dân vừa làm việc và vừa đi học, tạo điều kiện cho việc quản lý lớp học được tiến hành thuận tiện hơn.
